then with a 1/2 cpvc barrel added, with the lip sanded smooth so you don’t damage darts, the gun is done.
it’s already kicking ass as it is, but this is just the shooting housing and mechanism for something much more awesome.
this could EASILY be mounted to a tactical rail mount and thrown on any gun as a lance chance shot.

what i’m showing here is the metal bar you see. since i removed the primary trigger housing i had to put in a rod that would keep pressure on the plunger catch while allowing the trigger to still be pulled.
there we are fully puttied on
now remember if you’re new to this always wear gloves while working with epoxy putty.
now that it’s on i have to let it sit about an hour to cure and dry
do it right. now to secure the bushing on with epoxy putty
the new top of the gun has been angled, as well as the interior part of a cpvc coupler that will accept the barrel. this helps promote a tighter seal here.
with the barrel/ar holder removed, the piece that will be my end barrel and the main plunger/trigger housing

Modification of Nerf Vortex Proton
This is the basic blaster of the new Vortex line of blasters. It’s a single shot of the new disk ammunition that nerf has put out. The gun functions with a torsion spring that pivots a lever arm and throws the disk forward
The base of the torsion spring is anchored in the farthes forward hole. By moving the achor back to the furtherst hole it increases how taught the spring is therefore increasing how hard it will fling the lever arm
